Bulk upload essays

Upload thousands of student papers. TBASE scores them in the background. Each report shows on the teacher dashboard for that student and in the class summary, the same way as any other scored essay, and on the student, campus, and district views.

Before you upload

1. Download the templateExcel or CSV. One essay on each row.
2. PreviewTBASE flags missing essays, unknown classes, missing prompts, and essays that are too long.
3. Confirm and scoreStudents are matched or created, then scoring runs in small batches.

Limits: 5,000 rows. Each spreadsheet or ZIP can be up to 20 MB. Use the class code from the teacher dashboard and the student join name, not a legal name. How to bulk upload essays

The spreadsheet columns are Student name, Class code, Grade, Prompt, and Essay text. If the essays are .docx, .pdf, or .txt files, put those in a ZIP and add a File name column that matches each file.
