Clue Me In!

Find it. Connect it. Prove it. Use DECADES context clues to find the evidence that answers the question.
Purpose

DECADES is not “guess the word.” Students read accurately, find the evidence, and prove their understanding.

How it works

Choose a level. Read the passage and the question. Pick the sentence that best answers it. Then name the DECADES clue it uses. Clues can overlap, so more than one can be right. Last, finish the frame: My evidence is ___. This supports my answer because of the following DECADES approach: ___. Every play brings new missions.

Word help

If a word is hard to read, use its letters, sounds, and word parts, or ask for help reading it. Then use the text around it to understand its meaning.
